Default made some more things

These are benches I made to fit under a kitchen island. They need to match both the cabinet colour and the style of the dining room table. The table does not have the trestle style legs, but I do not have access to the metal legs the existing table has. They are horse people, so I utilized some of their old horse shoes as part of the foot rests.

The colour isn't exactly the same as the table, but it does pull in the darkest colours on the table, and the colour of the cabinets.

Beautiful work - I love how you tied in the horseshoes.

I was driving a charter to the zoo, and it came to me. I have been wracking my brains trying to figure or find some brackets that would let me put some kind of foot rest on them. I was thinking about barstools, and how most of them only have a narrow bar as a foot rest, and I thought I could use black pipe for that, since brass rails are hugely expensive, if I could just make a bracket to hold it. I was contemplating how I could get some steel brackets made by a blacksmith, which led me to wondering if a farrier I know has the skills and tools to actually do something besides heat up horse shoes in his forge ... and then it hit me, horse shoes are already the correct shape, and would be perfect for this client. Just got 6 used ones, cleaned them up, drilled and countersunk screw holes, and viola!

Thanks - seemed very happy with them and they paid me, so I think it was a success.

Nice work Dion. Those should last a lifetime or three.
