Yeah.. bots are pissing me off. I even tried switching from Captcha to Random Questions and we get even more? WTF? Could there actually be people working part of this shit?

I've been getting a flood of bots on my board as well (I also use vBulletin) after having switched to the question from CAPTCHA. I suspect the question only has to be seen by a user once before it's circulated to the bot user community. Time to change the question.
